Transformative Technology? Really?

So I ran across this Smart Ease of Use video in the course of one of our threads in a PLP cohort and I have to say, I can’t seem to shake it. I mean, maybe I’m missing something here, but if this is a vision of “transformative” technology, we’re in some serious trouble. Worse, [...]

FETC 2010

Lee and I had a great time with THE BIGGEST USER! Who is the biggest user? The Teachers of course! They got to hear about 8 innovative programs to use in their classrooms and Part II will be shared at FETC 2011 !
I also got to help my favorite fellow GCT, Rushton in two three hour sessions, but it was all google and it was all good.
I've been to several FETC conferences, but this was the best and so are the stories--I'm still laughing!

See You in the Connections Lounge!

Getting excited for the conference! Be sure to stop by in the connections lounge and say HELLO! The lounge is a place to get some informal networking in while you are in such a great location to learn from others. There will also be some folks hanging around to help you with any questions about technology, or perhaps to help you set up your own wiki, blog, or twitter account. I am looking forward to it! Hope to see you!

Conferences 2010

Just completed FETC where I presented my session, "Keep It Clean!" to another enthusiastic audience. I was delighted at how well the session was received as I wrapped up two days of sessions, tweetups, and meeting with tech educators from all over the country. The exhibit hall was packed with a wealth of interesting products and services on display. Next stop, METC in St. Louis and then ICE 2010 at Pheasant Run. More coming up after that, but nothing finalized yet.
